Thanks Tany. Early Half Tall is pretty much the only variety I have grown. Being 1/2 tall they don't need to be staked and their roots stay pretty solidly fixed to the ground. Loose roots is said to be a major factor in sprouts "blowing". Having said that I have to admit that Brussels are not my favourite brassica - so they seem to grow successfully without even trying!
Merry Christmas to you too Mal. Those brussels look great. What variety do you grow?? Mine always seems to open up..any tips?

Haven't made dosas for years Ray. Perhaps I will again soon. Nice that you still have a place for brussels. Spiced or plain boiled?
