Here's a surprise. I was testing the new motion sensitive infra red camera and on the very first night captured this unexpected visitor.
The cats and even the foxes were not a surprise, but this definitely was! I should explain that we live on a main road, on the long side of a right angled triangle formed by a back road. So the gardens in the triangle are only accessible by crossing the road and finding an access point between the houses.
What a surprise. Had you no idea that badgers were about?
ReplyDeleteNot expected at all. I did suspect there was one at the school garden (Only a badger would dig up and chew up a whole row of carrots) which is why the camera was purchased. I hadn't expected to find one on home turf!
DeleteBadgers look so good in night vision! Not really a welcome visitor, but I would love to see a live one!
ReplyDeleteYes they mostly eat worms which is bad news if you are relying on them (worms) to improve your soil structure. They are also carrot fiends!
