Blue is the Colour

This punnet of blueberries would retail at 99p in a supermarket.  I value them more because they have taken five years to grow!

If you don't believe that then go to the following link:

This year has been a bumper for other soft fruit too:

But the blueberries take pride of place.

There are plenty more to come...

...before autumn.

  1. Only 99p in a supermarket - try £2 or so down here in London!!
But the joy is in the growing, and the subsequent eating. The flavour must be FAR superior to anything commercially grown. Enjoy! :)

    1. Scotland is good for raspberries but I'm not sure about blueberries. Yes they are the best bluberries I've ever tasted!

  2. I wish blueberries would ripen so I could have a good picking in one go.

    1. This is the first year with a reasonable volume - partially down to maturity, partially the weather and also netting them before the birds set to!
